A Locals Favorite: Ace Hotel New Orleans, Louisiana

By Isabella Sandoval

Every Ace Hotel is unique to the city it is located in. No property looks the same and the Ace Hotel New Orleans embraces the art, music, and food of the Creole heritage. The hotel walls are covered in local art, while local musicians entertain guests at the live music venue, 3 Keys, inside the hotel.

Ace Hotel New Orleans bleeds New Orleans soul and has a spectacular rooftop bar and pool that boast views of the New Orleans Skyline. The historical building, in its day, used to house local musicians. While giving a nod to the past, the guestrooms carry a musical theme throughout with armoires hand-painted by local artists.

Ace Hotel New Orleans is home to two restaurants. Seaworthy, is a seafood restaurant while the oysters are most popular by guests and locals alike. Josephine Estelle is also a local’s hot spot! It was by far our favorite brunch spot on the entire trip. They also have pasta made from scratch that’s not to miss on your next visit!

Ace Hotel’s bohemian themed ceremony space is jaw dropping. It is a must-see, between the boho style rugs to the hand-dripped candle wax chandelier – making for a romantic space for a smaller, intimate wedding.

When it comes to the reception areas, the options are limitless. The beautiful ballroom can accommodate up to 400 people standing, and up to 250 people seated. The gorgeous hardwood floors also separate it from other hotel ballrooms. Lastly, there is an option where couples can buy out Josephine Estelle restaurant for a rehearsal dinner.

The planners at Ace offer 100% customizable plans and are accommodating to those who are traveling in from out of town to attend the wedding. The managers at the hotel offer a full buyout of all 3 floors or floor-by-floor, so that all the family and friends can be together on the same floor. Another package is for the guest courtyard which has 5 rooms attached, oh and makes for an ideal location for a proposal or farewell brunch!

Getting out and about in New Orleans is always fun and full of adventure. Whether you want to go shopping, grab yourself a cocktail on Bourbon Street, ride the streetcar exploring the garden district, book a haunted walking tour, or just sit and listen to music and people watch, there is always something for everyone is New Orleans.
